Having just finished his solo album ‘Trees Outside The Academy’, Thurston Moore is better known as singer, lead guitarist and songwriter of Sonic Youth, one of the definitive art/noise rock bands of the late eighties and early nineties.

Sonic Youth were renowned for the unusual guitar tunings they employed and the very individual discordant sound it rewarded them. We look up to Thurston.
