With the Northern Irish music scene in particularly rude health, an event in Belfast next month plans to address the question of how local bands and businesses can make their mark globally.
Billed as “Northern Ireland’s biggest ever music conference”, the NIMIC-organised ‘NI Music – The Way Forward’ brings together an impressive cast list of speakers, including Paul Brannigan (Kerrang editor), Harry Martin (Domino Records), Andrew Ferris (Smalltown America founder), Ben Turner (Bestival) and Feargal Sharkey (former Undertones frontman and current CEO of British Music Rights). It takes place at the Whitla Hall, Queen’s University, Belfast on Thursday November 6 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Admission is free, but you must register your intention to go. To reserve a place, email mark@nimusic.com.
