Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard and Son Volt’s Jay Farrar have teamed up to provide the music for a new documentary on the life of Beat legend Jack Kerouac [pictured]. The duo have used lyrics from Kerouac’s 1962 novel Big Sur on the full-length album. The record and the documentary which spawned – both titled One Fast Move Or I’m Gone: Jack Kerouac’s Big Sur – will be released [in the US] this October to coincide with the 40th Anniversary of Kerouac’s death.
