Since the release of last album Let’s Get Out Of The Country in 2006, Scottish indie-pop band Camera Obscura have signed to 4AD, and they’ve now presented their illustrious new label with an album. My Maudlin Career, produced by Jari Haapalainen (Peter Bjorn and John, The Concretes) and described by singer Tracyanne Campbell as “intense and quite dark”, is due out on April 20, with first single ‘French Navy’ seeing the light of day a week earlier. In the week of the album’s release, they then go on tour, finishing off with dates in Belfast and Dublin on April 29 and 30.
