We first suspected something was awry in the world of Giveamanakick when we visited their MySpace. Everywhere you looked was the ominous message that “Giveamanakick are shutting down”. And so they are. The band have announced a final four date tour. And then they will be no more. This momentous news has been marked with a special ‘shutting down’ video.
Together Steveamanakick and Giveamanakeith comprised the finest punk-rock duo ever to come out Limerick [fact]. They’ve been entertaining crowds all over the country for seven years and released three albums (Is It Ok To Be Loud, Jesus?, We Are The Way Forward, and most recently Welcome To The Cusp). They have played with a number of their heroes and high-profile artists (including Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Dinosaur Jr., Deftones and more) and made plenty of good friends along the way. They say they are closing this final chapter with no regrets.
