Glasgowbury ‘08

Countdown to Eagles' Rock extravaganza

Glasgowbury 2008 is all but upon us. AU will be going along to take in the crème de la crème of Irish talent. Up-and-coming acts such as Panama Kings, And So I Watch You From Afar and General Fiasco will be sharing the main stage with more established acts like Ash, Oppenheimer and Fighting with Wire. With some 45 bands performing, this year’s Glasgowbury will be the biggest in the festival’s eight year history.

If you can’t manage to get your sorry self down there, for one poor reason or another, chin up, you can tune in to BBC Radio’s coverage of the event. It all starts with the Alan Simpson Show’s live broadcast from 3pm this Friday before Stuart Bailie brings us his Glasgowbury Eve report. Additional coverage of the weekend will come courtesy of Stephen McCauley’s Electric Mainline, Rory McConnell at Radio 1 and an ATL TV special to be screened at a future date.
