Gnarls Barkley Bring Forward Album Release
Threat of internet leak hastens 'Odd Couple' into action.
It’s been a week of album release revelations. Following Raconteurs announcement that they were rush releasing second album ‘Consolers Of The Lonely’, Gnarls Barkley have confirmed the immediate release of ‘The Odd Couple’.
It is believed the decision to release the follow-up to highly acclaimed debut ‘St Elsewhere’ ahead of the scheduled April 8 date was prompted by internet leaks. However, a statement on behalf of the band suggested that: “the timing was right just to go for it . . . with the shifting seasons, furtive romantic entanglements and fierce college basketball rivalries, the latter half of March can be confusing. People need to be soothed and inspired now.”
