Kings Of Leon Ready To Hit Campaign Trail

Fourth album sees Tennessee's finest three brother and one cousin quartet get political

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Kings Of Leon frontman Caleb Followill has revealed that the band’s forthcoming album would include their most overtly political material to date. No word yet as to what exactly the follow up to 2007’s Because Of The Times album would be called but he did confirm two song titles, ‘Cold Desert’ and ‘Crawl’. Caleb also said he thought the album was the band’s finest to date, “I know I sound like a fucking cock right now, but this is the first time I’ve really been proud of myself, track for track.”

Elaborating upon the songwriting process for the album, Followill suggested that he might have benefited from a little medicinal stimulation. “I don’t know if it was the pills or what, but the melodies were so much stronger than anything I’ve ever done — it’s just really beautiful songs.” The singer had been prescribed pills following a fistfight with brother Nathan. The album is scheduled for a September release.
