Morrissey unimpressed with new Live DVD release
The Mozfather has lambasted his former label Warner after they announced the release of a new concert DVD, Morrissey Live At The Hollywood Bowl. The bequiffed one has been quick to distance himself from the release claiming it was nothing to do with him. A statement on the True To You website reads:
“The slapdash release of Morrissey Live at the Hollywood Bowl is done by Warner without any consultation to me whatsoever, and is in breach of their terms as laid out by themselves in an agreement made for the film between Warner and my ex-manager. Being Warner, predictably the sleeve art is appalling. It is the work of cash-hounds, and I urge people NOT to buy it. I am not signed to Warner, and no royalties from this DVD will come to me. Please spend your money elsewhere.
“Thank you, MORRISSEY.
In more Moz news, the new UK release date for forthcoming studio album Years Of Refusal is February 2, 2009. The album was originally to be released in September.
