Welcome To The Fun House

Countdown to Iggy & The Stooges Irish show

He’s the street walking cheetah with a heart full of napalm and he’s getting ready to strut his explosive stuff at an open-air show at Royal Hospital, Kilmainham. Yes, Iggy Pop, the one man rock ‘n’ roll anecdote generator, and remaining Stooges, Ron and Scott Asheton, will be rolling into town on June 16 for one of the year’s most anticipated Irish performances. Iggy may now be legally entitled to an OAP bus pass but as those who witnessed last year’s Electric Picnic performance can attest he still rocks harder than acts 40 years his junior. Support will come from Gothic garage-rockers The Kills and Northern Irish punk legends Stiff Little Fingers.

AU is officially excited about this show and you should be too. Check out our History Lessons on Iggy & The Stooges and you’ll understand why.
