Free Kitten - Inherit
Ecstatic Peace!
Now, maybe it’s the impending summertime season messing with our minds a little, but my God, the latest Free Kitten record is filthier than a rummage through Jodie Marsh’s knicker drawer. Inherit is the fourth album from Kim Gordon’s feline side-project and it carries on exactly where Sentimental Education left off, albeit in a more salacious vein. The album is full of sleepy vocals, meandering guitar solos and hippy-esque congo-beats and at this stage, if you enjoyed the previous work by the Kittens you’ll clutch Inherit to your check shirt-covered breast forever. The rest of you will wonder why they took 11 years to make another album. Edwin McFee
