You can count on the fingers of one hand the number of remix albums which better the original source material, and while this doesn’t buck that trend, it’s still an interesting and worthwhile release. Virtually all traces of Attack Decay Sustain Release’s rockier elements have been wiped out, in favour of pure, undiluted, Afro-centric beats. On the more inventive tracks the results come within a whisker of matching Errors’ subtle genius, but even the more recognisably cut-and-paste mixes aren’t that bad. Lee Gorman
