The Pumpkins are back, and feeling strangely fine by the sound of it. Jimmy Chamberlain’s trademark drumming opens new single ‘That’s The Way (My Love Is)’, a cheerful epic that sends the memory straight back to Billy Corgan’s old side-project Zwan. Reminiscent of their ‘Honestly’, it invokes the same heartwarming feelings, and leaves you wanting to run around in the now-defunct sunshine. It’s nothing new for them though, and feels perhaps a little too ordinary to be genuine Pumpkins work.
