Following their last single, ‘Bill Hicks’, London band The Foxes have submitted more evidence of their finely-tuned song writing skills. ‘Lover, Killer’ is a fast paced example of indie-rockabilly, with twangy guitars and upbeat basslines. Fun and bouncy, the vocals and quirky lyrics complement the music. Producer, Sam Williams (Supergrass) mixed a credible tune, but no boundaries have really been pushed. We could imagine this track making it onto a few BBQ playlists this summer, but don’t think we’ll still be dancing to it come Halloween. Richard W Crothers
