The Rosie Taylor Project - This City Draws Maps

Bad Sneakers

The Rosie Taylor project is a band to watch. Hailing from Leeds, their brand of melodic, acoustic pop in the vein of Liam Frost et al has led to their first full-length, This City Draws Maps. Mixing beautiful vocals with subtle acoustics and delayed electrics, the sound is sparse but mesmerising. The sweet-sounding melodies are at odds with the lyrical subject matter, but in the best of ways. This City Draws Maps is an exciting debut from a band who deserve to be heard by as many people as possible. Heart-felt pop rarely feels this good. David Hamilton
