The Zutons - Always Right Behind You

Had you been infected by The Zutons fever first, or even second time round, you won’t be able to deny that the third bout of fever is going to be worse than ever. First, you will get that familiar urge to listen to their entire discography start to finish. You will start telling everyone how much you love The Zutons. You will be singing their entire back catalogue. You may even find yourself sporting some Zutons paraphernalia. While it may not be groundbreaking, ‘Always Right Behind You’ has hooks so strong it could reel in a hammerhead shark. It’s not just great hooks though. Tongue in cheek lyrics, random saxophone jamming, and psychedelic production add to the joy. Granted, it’s nothing that you haven’t heard before, but it’ll ease the withdrawal symptoms. Aaron Stoops
