White Denim - All You Have To Do

Clocking in at an impressively short two minutes and 16 seconds, ‘All You Have To Do’ is something of a grower. The onslaught of guitar-funk jamming makes you feel like you’re sailing in a sea of Led Zeppelin riffs, on a boat made from James Brown’s Soul. Unfortunately on your trip, you get a bit lost, and you’re left quite unsure of where you are. It turns out that you’re stuck in between the Isle Of Classic Rock, and the Land of Disorientation and Confusion. That said, it’s not a bad track. It’s just a bit wishy washy. Undeniably, it does have an infectious energy, but the repetitive structure means it takes a while to sink its claws. Aaron Stoops
